1. AsiaSafe, an AOSR initiative, promotes radiation safety culture in
medicine and now includes MR and contrast safety. Check out our
website.
2. The AOSR Quality, Safety and Standards Committee (QSS) conducted an
Asia-Oceania Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Practices Survey in
2024 with the aim to develop region-wide IPC policy. Results will be
published soon.
3. The AOSR Emerging Trends (ET) Committee has created
structured templates
for specific diseases in English and Russian.
4. The ET committee has hosted AI and emerging technologists webinars since
2021. Position statements on the Adoption and Implementation of Artificial
Intelligence for Radiology focussed on AI in clinical settings can be found
here.
5. Position statements of the AOSR on the Multidisciplinary Approach to
Patient Care and the Radiologist as a Clinician can be found
here.
6. Communications and Leadership tracks featured at the Asian Oceanian
Congresses of Radiology 2024 and 2025. Read about the AOCR2024 VBR Workshop: How To Lead The Way To Becoming A Visible Radiologist
here.
7. Under the President's Roundtable initiative in 2022, a radiology
curriculum survey was conducted to provide baseline information on the
various training programs amongst its member societies. The AOSR Education
and Training Committee (EduCat) has subsequently undertaken this project
under its wing. The purpose is to provide a 'minimum' framework/standard for
radiological training curriculum. An AOSR-Asian Oceanian School of Radiology
(AOSOR) Educational Symposium: Asian-Oceanian (AO) Forum on Implementation
of the AO Radiology Training Curriculum was held at AOCR2024 with robust and
active discussion during this forum.
8. The 2022 AOSR value-based radiology (VBR) survey findings can be found
here.
9. The AOSR Sustainability Workgroup, initiated in Sep 2024, aims to reduce
radiology’s carbon footprint and promote ‘Green Radiology’. A survey is
ongoing to assess current practices related to environmental impact.
Radiology is an important part of the team managing a patient's health
outcome, and should extend beyond the community to the larger realm of
planetary health.
10. MR Safety in Asia -Oceania Call for Action - this document will be available soon with planned ensuing activities.
